Multicultural Gateway with Strong Growth Potential

Darra is a south-western suburb of the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, about 18 km from the Brisbane CBD with a diverse residential community and industrial history and around 4,100 residents. The suburb grew initially due to local timber cutters who sent timber out by rail, with Darra's first industrial site being a sawmill in the 1880s. During the 20th century, brickworks and cement works became the major industries. Today the suburb features the crossover of the Ipswich Motorway and Centenary Motorway, with a mix of residential areas to the north and industrial areas to the south.
